i was in that group that one of the owners led around chatter creek, my bros sled got heli'd out, well a rental XP with a broken crank (the crank broke the day before in his 06 rev also). anyway, just wanted to say the owners aren't dicks at all, the heli was on its way to fly in extra gas for us, he felt like exploring a little further than hes heard of anyone ever being before, and was VERY cheap for us. pretty much best day of sledding ever.

I was wondering how you guys were doing for fuel and how that chopper could have got there so fast. Some in your group were doing lots of playing while also covering lots of teritory. Without your tracks to follow we would have never gone back that far. Did you go much further than where the sled broke?

Anyone konw if you can ride from the parking lot in Quartz. I heard last weekend you could. Just have a big group of guys and checking if a 4 place enclosed is still doable. Thanks.

Ya I never would have went back there if the guy wouldnt have kept going, some places were pretty hairy, especially when he hasnt even been there. After the sled broke down we went into the next bowl and a few sleds were having a few more problems as well as we were running out of time to make it back in daylight. Lots of area to go back there, but you definitely need a nice day, a lot of daylight, and lots of extra gas.

Yes, it was 2 weeks ago. There was still lots of snow in the parking lot. Here is a pic (see highway in background).

Chatter Creek

We were in Chatter the first week end it opened in April, personally spoke with one of the owners through dinner and found him to be very accomadating, knowledgable and interesting. His wife was also very freindly.

Sledding was great and so were the accomadations.
