sounds familiar, I witnessed a similar scene during one of the largest swells to hit the straits earlier this winter... that's the problem with limited resources and easy access!

On any given powder day you'll see like 30 riders mobing runs in a free for all frenzy.
It has gotten so popular that I seen borders with Cali plates and Swedish accents yesterday trying to film some board runs.
It is getting to the point there on certain days most people there are to slash runs. To search and decend.
Which is why you should get a split board and start earning your turns. Tow in skiing/boarding is a novelty, but not better than riding the lifts on most days IMO. With touring gear, you aren't limited to riding cut blocks at low elevations. Instead, you score the sickest lines you can see/find. Sleds get you to the access points and are hella fun on the way to and from. Best of both worlds IMO.
Well Hood River is a mecca for it.
