David, good job on the muffpot install, looks like you are you still getting snow into that area or is that part of your master plan to have a cooler back there?
There is going to be a cooler back there. And maybe all the way along the top sides. Not completely sure about it yet. As to the snow, it was more of a 10pm, 2 beers down, 2 hrs rework of failed mount, get this stupid thing done so I can ride in the morning rush job. Note the crappy cut on the top piece. Oh well, this is all just a test system. I might redo most of it in the summer.
Note the huge openings at the top corners and the bottom sides. It was my initial, yah, this ought to do it, measurements. I am going to have to redo it and build another one. Though, I have to say, my sheet metal bender is turning out great work.. lol... aka vise and 2 2ft. long 2x4's.
I was at Gold Creek on Friday, that was the day, very few people and the snow was great before the sun came out and didn't really set up too bad when it did. Thanks for the lessons on the downhill powder turns when we were at Baker, they came in handy at Goldcreek when we sessioned in a couple of the bowls. Bummer you didn't make it to Baker, I missed it as well but heard the snow was actually better at Goldcreek than Baker on Friday.
Not bad for April.
Yah, Friday looked like the day to be out there. I was hoping the sun wouldn't come out, as it made for a crunch first couple of inches in the sunny parts of the mountain. Didn't stop me from getting stuck though.. lol
Glad you are getting your down hill turns under control. It really increases the ability to maneuver through the trees going down hill.
I did notice that it looks like we are at our deepest depth of the year so far up there. Skate park looks finally closed up / closed in. Should have been this way around February, but better late then never!!
Going to be in interesting spring riding season.. wait, crap it is already the middle of April!! You know, we might make it to May if the weather cooperates enough.
