Going to whistler, have questions

Going to whistler, want to being sleds. Lift tickets cost to much.

What do we need to cross the boarder with the snowmobiles? Mine has no registration currently.

Where is good riding near whistler? we hate riding trail. Steep, deep and trees only.

In regards to crossing the border I would say you will not have an issue coming North without a registration. You may get hassled going south by the American border guards though. If you have some type of proof of ownership you should be good.

72" of fresh pow this week but there is only trails here. :face-icon-small-win

How many days are you in Whistler and what area are you staying and I will make a recommendation on where to ride.

K, thanks.

When I went through north of Spokane in 2007, my MT drivers license and expired passport was enough. I thought that I had heard it was tightened up a little now.

If you're staying in whistler, Brandywine and Sproatt are the closest. It's like 15min drive at most.

Further north (30min), there's Rutherford and another 30min North is the Hurley.

Directions? Will these spots be on any visitor maps?
Brandywine...Drive south from Whistler, turn right at the Callahan Valley road (olympic venue turn off). Then take your first left. Its sign posted for snowmobiles.

If you are going to ride these areas without a guide then a GPS is a must. If you get back aways and the clouds sock in you will be toast.

Rutherford, drive North from Whistler about half an hour and you will see a concrete building on your right which is a hydro electric building. The snowmobile parking is on your left.

Hurly and Sproat the directions get a little trickier.
