Well, after about 2 hours of thinking with some buddies last night we are gonna make a short 666 mile trip from butte, mt to portland oregon to go see Metallica play tommorow night.

for me it will be my first concert. should be a good time.

should be a good concert too. i saw them a few years ago and they played hard! one of the better concerts i've been too!

that would have been the St. Anger tour, and that alumb sucks pretty bad IMO, the new album is awsome, so im stoked to see em live, for a band that has been putting out albums for 25 years, oh well, i gotta get ready now, long drive.

THAT album may have sucked, but they played lots of older stuff too! and they hit the stage for 2 hours straight, stopping just long enough to slam some water and switch guitars. i would totally go again, plus the new album from what i've heard is friggin awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, st. anger /sucked/. Death Magnetic isn't bad. It's on the disc I have in my truck right now.

Saw them a few years ago in Seattle, my ears are still ringing! They kicked @ss, I've been to many concerts and that was one of my favs!!:face-icon-small-coo

Headed to the SLC, UT concert Monday night. Seen them on the "Load" tour and they ripped. Been to tons of concerts myself and they are right there near tied for the best concert. KISS is of course the best concert I have ever been to.

all i can say is WOW, got back a few hours ago, that was my first and most amazing concert i think could ever exist.

SAKO its gonna be killer, they rocked so freakin hard it was amazing.
here is the lineup we got, they started hard, played hard and rocked straigh thru only stopping for very short times to switch guitars.

That Was Just Your Life
The End of the Line
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Ride The Lightning
One
Broken, Beat & Scarred
Cyanide
Sad But True
And Justice for All
No Remorse
Kirk Solo #1
The Day That Never Comes
Master Of Puppets
Fight Fire With Fire
Kirk Solo #2
Nothing Else Matters
Enter Sandman

this was about 2 hours and 5 minutes of nonstop brain melting awsomeness, i was up pretty high, and it still was epic, so loud my ears HURT 24 hours later. james voice was spot on, lars raped the drums, and kirk anihalated the guitar, the all solos on all songs were played true to albums, fast and amazing. the new bass guitarist is kinda guy and likes to show off, but rocks hard anways.
