That isn't a real price, check dates. We paid $80 for one night in the fall (off season) when we moved here, place was empty. About pooped. Nice for a Super 8 though.
Snow is sacked out and tracked out. Need more badly. Stay in the trees down low or you will be kissing rocks and stumps, even though snow is pretty hard under 8 inches.

I didnt hit anything over the weekend there... if you know the good spots you can get out of the tracked up areas.... SNows good right now!

Snow depth varies radically from one hill to another, top to bottom for sure. Most visitors are not sure where to go, a week ago there was a tracked out hill with 8 guys on it, 100 feet away it was all fresh and untouched.
Yes I am spoiled, I live here, lol. If it is not coming over the hood with no tracks to be seen, it "sucks".
Last year, where I rode, the only tracks we ever saw were ours. Seriously, it was nice. Riding different areas this year, and seeing lots of people. Actually, Sat. we didn't see another soul, but it was a remote area and the snow wasn't as deep as the "usual" spots. Plus, it was fairly hairball riding as far as terrain, add rocks in there and it was interesting, lol. Hopefully we get some snow soon though, I am breaking out the short track this week!
agreed.... this no snow thing is getting to me... i dont know whats going on. will it snow atleast 2 FEET EVER???? need pow lol

we cancled a trip to seven devels in bear( council )10-14 due to sno conditions it has'nt snowed in 2 weeks and the forecast is'nt to promising. if your are looking for a cheap place to stay thats good...... stay home till we get more snow......
Went out last night. Way out. Found some remote places. And tracks. Lots of them. Places that were powder a week ago are freeways now. Best thing was ripping down the smooooooooooth groomed trails at midnight, lol.

Talkin about sometime in March. Lookin for someone that might be interested in showin us some of the back country. And is it worth the time to take a trip to Burgdorf Hot Springs for a dip? Thanx for the help

I have never made the trip to the springs. Always prefered to ride in the mtns than bear the road ride out to the Springs. But who knows it might be cool.
We will be riding Saturday and it will be tough to find some good snow but I know there is some back in a few ravines or steep areas in the trees. If anyone shows us the route I will pony up steak dinner and a few drinks. Just myself and another rider. 2012 ProClimb and 2011 Pro both natrually aspirated.

I have always been a short track/race sled guy, so I really enjoyed the rally last night. Both directions we ran into the groomer, so had REALLY fresh trail, lol. Got to scare myself passing my bud at 85mph, trying to imagine what a 162 track coming apart at speed feels like. Running the twisties on a fresh trail on 162/163 sleds in the dark is a kick.

Scandia Inn 208-634-7394 also has lower rates and there is a Super 8 208-634-4637. We are getting light dustings of snow. You have to go a ways out to find untracked snow. Burgdorf Hot Springs has new managers this winter and is well worth the trip. They have fuel, food and overnight accommodations. Grooming updates and other area information www.secesh.net
