goggles...who makes a good one

IMO if you control the heat in your helmet (whether it's from your breath or your body being too hot) then your going to be able to run just about any goggle you want. Now some will seal up better to certain helmets. And of course everyone has their preferred lens color that works for them. I used to have an issue with goggles but from an old post on here about body heat I learned to control my body temp while riding and now I can run any goggle out there and not have fogging issues.

For me it's 100% 509 goggles in the bag (both the aviators and X5's) but they have a few lens colors that work perfect for me.

OP, in your post you say you are not interested in the 509 goggles but never say what you are looking for or what has not worked for you in the past. Give us a bit more info on what has not worked for you in the past and what Helmet your running and I bet people can give you a bit more information. :face-icon-small-coo

I have great luck with Scott Hustle goggles. They have a 3 position adjustment to allow to to fit the goggle to your face. They also have really fat foam to seal into the helmet nicely. They are middle of the road on price.

Went ahead and ordered the Oakley Airbrake yesterday with the Prism rose and came the the Prism black. Been using the Dragons for the last couple years and have been very happy with them. Fred

I've always favored Scott Otg. The over the glasses feature gives more air even though I don't wear glasses.
I was given 509's as a Christmas present, wore them one hour and hated the quality and fit. Local dealer traded them for three pairs of Scott's......a great gift.

I second the scott 89 OTG. Foam and straps last forever and the dual pane blue lense works great. Probably the only goggle made in USA and that right there should be enough said.

For me, I wear Klim googles with a nose piece with the cheap Scott fan in them off of Amazon. I like the way the nose piece integrates into the notch on my helmet to kind of create a seal and help keep my breath out of my googles. The Scott fan from Amazon does an amazing job to help with the fog issue, so much so that I don't always take my helmet off when digging out. For skiing and on warmer sled days, I use Smith Phenom goggles, which are a better fit for my face, but don't have a nose piece.
