Goggle Lenses

for scott goggles i use their blue lenses.
the new scott goggles i got this year tho im going to try their red ones.

There is no "Best" lens for any condition. Especially in low light / flat days you have to remember - ALL tinting reduces the amount of available light. Tints have been scientifically tested, informally tested, hyped up and hyped down for decades. The only truth out there is what you "like". Most snowsport enthusiasts will tell you they prefer the amber or rose color in flat lighting. Personally, I can't stand them in any light - they distort the color so bad (IMO) I don't know how anybody uses them. My personal favorite is the blue. It seems to take the edge off the bright light days and doesn't negatively effect the flat lighting and the best part for me is that the color spectrum stays fairly true.

i agree with MTNMAN800, i only use colored lenses because they look cool :D i run the Revo Blue and chrome lenses on my 509 goggles. they both pretty much do the same thing..one dosent have any advantage over the other.

i run polarized bolle goggles, you will see more in snow conditions. when the light or snow gets real bad i carry a 2nd pair with clear lenses. i have not seen any colored lense beat a polarized lense when it comes to light conditions and depth perception. the polarization just cuts the glare out to where you you can see every deviation in the snow ahead of you, which is very important depending on your speed.

for spys on bright sunny days i use the blue/blue spectra lense. they are pretty expensive (28$) but help a lot and for cloudy days/flat light i use the persimmion they help brighten it up

i prefer the rose on most days, but the persimmion is pretty good too. i just find i get better defintion out of the rose lenses on flat light days.
