As the season starts heating up I'm curious what you all hope to accomplish this year.

As for myself, I want to try and succeed to do a somewhat long carve with one hand on the gas and the other hand in the snow. I originally saw pictures of Laird McDougall(sp?) doing it and now I really want to learn how to get that kind of balance.

Was he standing up and doing that? Sitting down and doing it is pretty easy.

Goals for me - practice downhill u-turns, uphill donuts, and putting the sled where I want it to go.

Goals for me are just to learn to ride in powder...... THis is only my second season and i mostly only rode trails last year.
So yeah, Ive got alot to learn this season... :o

I will probably work on that too, as it is pretty cool. Real thing I am going to work on is carving down a hill with the sled on it's side and brakes on. It is easy to do with gas, I want to be able to do it without.

Also I am going to work on losing my buddies cause they can't keep up and having to go back and get them unstuck. It is so satisfying seeing your buddy stuck trying to do something that you had just done.

Find guys that have to come back and get you unstuck after trying to follow them....THAT will make you better.

Best in the group...find another group!

You free this winter? Don't like doing drops much but up for everything else.

Goal #1- Pull longer sidehills to the left. I can sidehill forever to the right but the left I seem to loose my balance, could be from having no balance on my left foot after I broke my ankle.

Goal #2- Ride as many new places as possible. There are at least 10 great riding areas less than a 2 hour drive from me and I have only ridden 2 of them.

Goal #3- Make a video journal of my riding season.

I want to break the 200 ft mark, and my wife wants to hit a comp ramp (she hit 100 last year... now shooting for 130 or so!).

Hopefully BOTH will be done without injury!!! :D

the track is what pushes you forward. without gas your not going to do any carving just sliding

Jonce standing up, sitting down seems like it would be somewhat easier cuz you can anchor yourself down with your legs.

And the other goal I couldn't think of before was to get out and ride with other folks

Goals

Lets see... I just bought a new MPI vector. My goal is to leave nothing back. At the end of the year have no regrets about anything. Look back and say
" I rode the best I could, and rode as much as I could. "
