Go w-y-o!!!!

Nice!!

My first year at UW we played at tennessee in an early season game... lost horribly.

drumline motto that year was "two weeks to kick asss"

Yeah I keep hearing about how this is Glenn's last year.

When is it gonna dawn on the UW athletic board that they could have Mack Brown coaching the pokes and they still wouldn't be any better because who the hell wants to come play for Laramie when they can play for FSU?

heh :o

No I think he is a good Coach ft good for Wyoming, hard to convince them of the nice weather and no wind in Laramie :) They can have FSU tho, last I checked the snow was not too good down there:beer;:beer;

HOLY CRAP! That is a huge win!

Did anyone else watch the Texas Tech game? GH was flat out impressive, 40-50 for 456 yds and 6 tds!

Too bad my Nitany lions lost:(

I wish like hell I'd have been back in Lubbock the past two weekends, I'll put it that way....

My old apartment was right across the street from the stadium. I miss those days already hahahah

I like Joe Glenn a lot. When he was at Montana, he was VERY popular. VERY. Gotta like the guy.

He's one of the biggest dickheads I've ever personally met. He might be popular with some people...

edit: it could have just been the three times I personally interacted with him that he was having bad days, or it could just be that since I'm not a rabid sports fan, or it could just be that I don't care about the football program at UW...

Damn Chad  dont sugar coat it LMAO I thought he was a standup guy. My sister is the lead drum major at UW and he took her out to dinner along with the band director and she brought me along and I thought he was a pretty stand up guy!

Maybe you just caught him on a day when they lost, happens alot :o

Read my edit. I never held my tongue when it came to my feelings about the football program and that indoor practice arena they were in the middle of building. I'm sure he's a nice guy to people that are sports fans and actually support what he's doing :D

they turned half acre into an indoor practice arent for the football team?

wasn't it always that way ...? or is this something they just built?

They just built it. Didnt think twice about it  angered alot of people, they thought that land and money could have went to something a little better

such as not increasing student fees to pay for the damned thing? Just like the new IT building, student body didn't want it in the first place and then only approved a building half the size it wound up being. Where does UW think people are going to park when going to class? Every year the parking lots just get smaller and they won't build a parking garage...

yeah, the two times I met him he seemed pretty cool.... He definately loved the band, which is something I can't say about any other coach. Glenn would show up to our band practices, and even just the drumline practices to watch us and cheer us on.

Of course it could have.

Remember the $7,000,000 weight room they built for the football team back in 99' or 00' .... They needed a "state of the art" weight room ... LOL ...

They needed a "state of the art" weight room to create state of the art losers I guess ...

Now they have their own indoor practice field...

I'm SURE that parking garage that has been needed for the past 20 years is next on the list, right? :D

And people wonder why I did't go to UW to finish school hahahaah ;)

bleh. I guess I'm just one of those people who had a real bad taste in their mouth from UW ... heh :)

Glen is good for one thing. HYPE. He has lots of energy and the people like seeing it. Now I wish he would actually put that energy into some actual coaching and even more into recruiting. That way when they finally can his azz the next coach will have a decent outlook for a team to work with. Has he even had a winning season since the teams were all his recruits?

I still say UW has no business being a D1 school.

Let's face it, they could have Mike Shanahan, Bill Belachick, Mack Brown, Pete Carrol, whoever coaching for them ..

And still, NOBODY would want to come play in Laramie when they could go to CU or FSU or pretty much anywhere but Laramie.

I think it's pretty disgusting how much money the state has thrown at that football program while the dorms at UW were literally falling apart, there was no parking whatsoever on campus, and the list goes on and on ... but wait, the football teams gotta get a 7 million dollar weight room

I think if UW was a D2 school, they'd actualy MAKE money off the program because they might win games and people would actually want to watch them do this.

I don't give a damn that in 1988 or whatever when Paul Roach was the coach we had a winning season. In the last 5 decades UW's football record has been overwhelmingly dismal.

When are people gonna wake up and realize it's not worth the money they spend on it and start telling the state legislature that.

blah

ok I'm done

I will stop ranting about UW.

Exactly. JG could sell ice to eskimos. I had a buddy play for him when he was at Montana. He said JG was a great guy but a sh!tty coach who had excellant assistants. Now I don't know JG and I'm not sure if I'd call him sh!tty but I don't know if he's D-1 material.
