Go Pro hero video software???

Hello everyone, what is everyone using or has downloaded to there pc to view the vids taken on there Go Pro Hero cams, and can be used to upload them to Youtube??

I have the 960p and the software I have on mine , I`m not sure the name of it it just shows a wierd orange roadcone icon as the file of any vid on my pc, the ones I have taken with my normal digital camera play fine but the Go Pro vids play like the freeze and studder, I can hear the audio non stop but video parts again freezes and skips,

I would like to find or have a link to download a better video viewing software for the Go Pro cam.

I have done a few vids from the new camera I got a few months ago from riding the sled around the yard and getting a few good jumps and wheelies on a dirt mound out back, and if I use the supplied cables from the cam to my tv they vids play fine, I just need better system for my pc.

any good tips or links would be appreciated.

Thanks, Wildcard

If it freezes on my computer its cause the computer is running slow. Make sure no other programs are running and pause the video and let it load for a minute. It use to be really bad on my old lap top I would have to let it load for a couple minutes. It is HD.

Ya I have the same problem, I freezes but no other programs running have got off the internet and not other stuff running in the background and still does the same thing, If I pause the vid for awile it just starts back up from where I paused it and still continues the the same thing.

My laptop is a Dell and is about 4 years old, no other programs or devices I have had on it ever gave me problems

Thanks, Wildcard

Does the video play fine when plugged into tv from gopro. If it does it isn't the gopro. Most likely it is your computer being too slow. I had a macbook that was 3-4 yrs old and it couldn't handle the gopro vids.

windows media player should work fine, and you tube is all you need for editing

most important thing to have for your PC is a HD compatible video card, with lots of memory, especially when it comes to editing.

buying a HD cam then realizing you need a new computer or at least new HD video card is a real bummer.

Bingo - HD is a resource hog.
