Gixxer 750 with a 174 track

Starting the sub frame/tunnel. Crude fabricating? You bet!

I like to see these kinds of builds, always amazed what can come out of someone's garage.
Keep it going, I think it will turn out nice.

My buddy turned that shaft and cut the keyway for me. It's just some 1 1/4" steel hex shaft from McMasterCarr. This is definitely a low budget build. Might get fancier if it I can get it to ride decently.

Lots of steel here and fairly complex but there's a method to my madness.

The entire tunnel can be adjusted up or down as well as being able to pivot for different angles. Once some testing is done to get the right feel, a frame with lighter weight material minus the adjustability will be fabricated.

Hey Brett. Your project looks really cool. No shortage of power there!
The last picture shows your idler sprocket or tension sprocket on the drive
side of the chain. Is there no room to install it on the following side of
the chain? All that torque is gonna stress that little sprocket for sure.
Drive side should be in a straight line.
Just my 2 cents!
Good luck with your project.

I realy like your build, but for some reason i cant see enny of the pictures you have shared. Is it just me that have this problem?

Appears that this thread has been viewed so many times that it went over Photobucket's free bandwidth limit? :face-icon-small-sad

Sorry about the images. Yep, Photobucket only allows so many views per month. I didn't expect there would be that many on this build. I will see if I can fix it.

In the mean time, nothing too exciting going on. Just 1 million little details like running cables, making seat mounts, mounting electrical crap, etc.

Looking to get it on the snow for a test this weekend!
