As many of you know we have gotten a bunch of snow in Western Washington this last week. My parents live out in the country in Machias (Snohomish) and Snowmobilers have been out riding the Power Lines and a few of the fields in the area. Neither my parents or their neighbors has had an issue with it. In fact the local Sheriff has even been fine with ATV's, Dirt Bikes and Sleds in the area as long as the local residents are not bothered.

Well last night this same group of snowmobilers decided to tear through my parents back yard, leaving tracks all the way through the snow into the grass, drove across their patio and almost hit their house. I'd like to think that idiots who act like this aren't on this website, but if you are you better hope that you don't pull this stuff while I am over there. You won't do it again, I promise you that.

With all that we face as far as restrictions etc. I can't believe people are pulling this type of BS. Sorry for the rant but this is just unacceptable and I would hope that we can all make it clear to all of riding friends that this type of behavior doesn't fly. Of course, most of us probably wouldn't be friends with people like that.

I was in the covington area and I saw four snowmobilers flying down a pedestrian/bike trail - going over bridges, crossing at the crosswalk over the road in front of everyone, etc! Really guys!?!?! Come on...

Luckily we do not have to deal with theft over here in WI yet (knock on wood) but we do have to worry about trail closings from guys driving all over private land owners property when they clearly have signs posted.

In the 15 years I have been snowmobiling, I have never once heard of anyone getting there trailer or sleds or even parts stolen but it definitely makes you nervous reading this stuff.
