giving up

Somehow I find it hard to believe that there is not one single post out of 1,357 threads and 16,741 posts and countless threads of which are in the stickies in this forum that can help you get your sled running reliably:eek::(

Care to share your problems with the thing?

I too find it hard to believe with all these posts or wonderful people on this forum that we cannot resolve the issue.

Im done! 05 900 166 going down the road! i know! im a quitter!

See this is what happens when you don't post your voice and problems. You don't get the help you need. If you cannot resolve your issue with search feature or great stickies on how to here then create a thread and let us know your problems instead of making a thread saying you give up and not letting us now the issue at hand. Just making a thread saying you give up looks kind of odd to us with no idea what the hell is going on.

Have a couple of :beer;:beer;

I put 4500 miles on mine, and yes I had to pull a lot wrenches to do it.
My friends finally did a intervention and pulled my fingers of the handle bars.
Now I have a different ride, but it still needs parts and I still need to pull wrenches.

A different sled does not mean a better sled.

I'm just in the beginning of the long process of making one of these run for my son. probably should have passed on it, but OH well. Gets me out of the house. My skidoos I can only put gas in and ride.:face-icon-small-win

So whats wrong with it?

My issue is money more than anything...everytime I touch something on this sled I have to replace something else. Ive now spent over 4k in total on this thing...I only paid 2800 and was told it was "ready to go, all updates done, and well maintained". Well it looks very nice...but thats about the end of the maintenance he must have done.

Hey, that sounds exactly like mine. All my fault of course, mine was ready to go then I started modifying it. You are still way cheaper than the cost of a new sled and once you get it all together it is an amazing sled. If I lived closer I would come over and help you put it together. I have boxes piled all around mine right now too, just waiting on a couple more parts to start the next phase of modifying and improving.:face-icon-small-hap

I wish I could say this was my fault...and maybe it partially is. But you can only look so far at a sled in a garage trying to find faults. Until I tore it apart I had no idea what I was getting into. I agree though, this sled is awesome and is really what I want, plus I am sooo close to being done. But once the well of money dries up, what next ya know? I either dont ride this winter or sell it and get something ready to go. Looking like the motor mounts may be shot now even though he had them updated 2 seasons ago and still need to send my clutch out...

I'm on ebay and Craigslist right now selling parts and cleaning the junk out of the garage to finish up mine. I'm about $500 short of getting everything completely done.

Haha good idea...already thought of it. Sold my Klim jacket I bought last year for half off. Almost cried I had to let it go...but kind of pointless wearing it to sit on a sled in the garage.

Sold a set of wheels just now for 300,

got my Walker Evans Shocks on Ebay, I'm going to be running my stock fronts this year I guess,

Got my track I took off and the intake off my G35 on there.

I think I have made enough to finish the work this week.. :face-icon-small-hap
