Welcome !!!

Don't know how long you are here but make sure you have good filters on the vents for the children.

Lots of nasty dust there with natural toxins from the area.

Being in California City you can ride bikes out your back door.

Sledding is less than 2 hours away (80 miles) at the end of nine mile road near 395/Ridgecrest. We sled on Sherman Pass road.

Awesome trais but crowded are in Mammoth Lakes up 395 ... 200 miles.

Just to elaborate on the dust issue.

When I moved here I had no allergies, none.

After a couple years the dust storms just shut down my sinuses and burn my eyes.

Kind of like pollen allergies.

For children it causes lung disorders like astma and bronchitis.

There are things like borax, selenium, hydrogen sulfide from geothermal emissions. Owens Lake just north of you has dried up the last 50-100 years from Los Angeles taking the water around it. This dry lake bed has lots of things we don't want in our lungs. So when it sends a dust storm down your way can be bad to breath.

Not trying to alarm you ... just wanting you to have a better life.

The Mojave airport has a museum with about every quasi declassified spooky project done in the area. Great for the kids to see ... once.

Lockheed black ops is in the area and China Lakes ops are very close.
