Getting over the border

Hey guys just wondering how hard is it to get over the border from canada to the usa an back with my sled? Insurance and registration mandatory? Wondering what kinda documentation is necessary.

Depends which dickhead you get at the border. I got more of a hard time trying to come home than going over there, they all want to be supercops. Just know where youre going to be staying and how long.. they didnt ask for anything about my sleds, just made sure I wasn't going to try to get a job over there.

Bring your passport or enhanced license. If you have had a recent DUI (within the last 10 years), your chances are slim. I have never been asked about my sleds.

I race motocross over the summer so I cross the bored probly 25 times this summer just to race, ive been asked about my bike once. All they ever care about is if you bought anytime or have any alcohol/drugs, they could care less about what you were doing. Like said above you only ever get trouble on your way home when your tired from your trip and just want to get home but you cant, all depends on the idiot your trying to deal with, if you get someone who rides its your lucky day, ask for his schedule and always cross the border when he is there.

I just got a remote area border crossing permit. Ride across and call in. Not sure if this is available in many areas but where I ride in Northern MN, if you ride on the wrong side of one of the thousands of islands, you're in Canada. Figured it would be safer to just have the permit in my pocket and not have to worry about it.
