Ice- I have ridden both the Polaris IQ and the Cat M8 and either of them would be GREAT sleds for what you describe as your favorite type of riding. They are both nimble and easy to ride. The M8 has a little heavier steering for me (I am a 140 lb woman), but for most men it is not an issue.

You should be able to find a great sled for what you are wanting to spend - with the Polaris, I would go 2008 or newer, with the Cat, 2008 and newer. There are a LOT of dealers with holdover sleds in the crate for your price range. Shop around, you will find something!
