Got a RV Onan generator. It will start then dies when I let off the switch. Oil level is ok.

We have a 4 cylinder Onan gen set (early 70's model, bought it in '95 and it was brand new, caps still on the intake and exhaust) at our fishing camp. It was doing the same thing. Ended up being a relay on a control board.
