i was just wondering if anyone has taken a gen 1 and put a edge tank and seat on it? and if so did you use the plastic that fits around the tank?

lift your seat and take a good look at your coolant lines. Those are the issue. The Edge tank does not have a groove in it to allow them to go under the tank. You have to re-route them by installing running board coolers. It is a very major project.
Did this about 5 years ago. Built a mod based on a gen 2 chassis. The edge hood will fit on the gen bellypan, I ran a different cooler setup so I could use the edge tank and seat configuration. Custom fit the tank to the steering hoop. It takes a little ingenuity but can be done rather easy.
