GELLING Problems

I own a diesel repair shop, we work on alot of diesel pickups, big rigs, busses etc, deal with alot of gelled trucks(its cold in MN) I worked at another shop for 3 years rebuilding injection pumps, injectors and turbos, while I was there I found a oustanding additive from a company called Ezoil, you may have heard of it, I have been using it ever since and it really flat out works, I have had trucks gelled out on the interstate and the driver always says he dumped a gallon of 911 in it and it still gelled? I can take that truck dump a couple quarts of DGEL in it( that is their version of 911) screw some new filters and he drives away no problem. I had a 9400 IH with a ISX cummins a guy pulled in bout a month ago- barely running, not much throttle response etc.. dumped a quart in between the two tanks and a liitle in the fuel/water sep globe, bout 15-20 minutes the thing ran perfect again,he had something in for additive cant remember what he said it was but anyway we never even changed filters, amazing.. The Ezoil rep did a test years ago when I first saw it and I still have it on the counter, take 4 small jars and fill each half full of water and fill each with different additives, mine has power service, stanadyne, and howes, then the last jar has Ezoil, shake them up and let it set, the other 3 after a short time just float on the water like oil- none of them does anything for water contamination, the ezoil mixes/consumes the water and never separates, so it can burn through,( slug of straight water doesnt provide much lubrication in a injector) Anyway just thought id share what Ive found, every vehicle Ive used it on either gelled or just for preventative measures has great results. They make a year round formula, winter specific and a DGel when its gelled or gelling, also they have a flow improver for your guys with the auxillary tank issues. You can buy it in any quantity- bottles all the way up to drums. www.ezoil.com. I carry the full line and can ship anywhere if anyone would like to try it. good luck

The new fuel sucks bad, our bulk supplier hates to see extremely cold weather, because he knows i'll be calling. Years back 50/50 blend worked in any weather we worked in, know 50/50 with the winter additive injected right into the bulk tanker seems to only work (good) to about -10.
The newer systems run way finer micron filters so any hint of thickening and no way jose.
I have been always warned off of power service i guess alot of alcohol, but i use their diesel kleen and like it, as for winter additive Howes is good but you have to use it religiously not a quick fix by any means.
one thing i have found is some additives state right on them that it needs to be a certain degree of warmth or they do not blend properly. Kinda seems to contradict the winter additve part but go figure.
