174 = 18 40 162 = 19 40 The motor will turn taller gearing but with that track you are approaching what the belt will take life span wise and with any taller gearing you will start to eat secondarys. I've seen it lots once guys switch to the 18 40 probs are much fewer.
running a 21-40 in mine. yes eats belts. but eats other sleds in track speed. its your choice. try a few gears out yourself and see what u like. my buddy runs a 20-40 and there is a noticable diffrence in track speed. even with only 1 tooth.
