gearing the apex

i did a search for this but the search engine sucks What is everybody gearing the turbo apex to? are they going up or down in gears? and what is the stock gearing in it?

20/40 is what is stock and IMO would leave it unless you are lake racing.

stock gearing is 24/38.you could gear down one tooth for more bottom pull but you will lose some top end .

I would drop the top gear from the 20 tooth down to a 19 tooth, helps with back shifting. I ran a 174x16x2.5, 7 tooth drivers with about 16 lbs of boost on my apex and when I dropped a tooth, it helped with back shifting and clutching.

I say 19/40 tooth with that 174x16x2.5 and 7 tooth drivers.
