gearing for a 98x

Was wondering what the best gears to use on my 98 summitx,currently stock but i'm putting on a 159 and i have a 151 skid,not sure if i should set it back or use ext.,i run 8t ext.drivers any help would be apriciated,and i,m sure this has been discussed but i didn't see anything..thx

I would say to set it back to get the better angle and that's how all the new skids are.

Set the skid back and gear it 2.10:1 or higher- even 2.2:1 works well!!!

I ran a 98X for several years with a 151 track and 8 tooth drivers and stock gearing.

Stock drivers were 9 tooth, so the 8 tooth drivers gear it down pretty good for the longer track and helps a bunch with belt life.
