I picked up an 04 800, and it has the speedo removed and a flo-rite vent thing over the hole. Problem is the tach doesn't work (separate tach and speedo), and now I dont have any of the warning lights because they are on the speedo. My buddie has an 04 800X and he has the combo speedo/tach setup, can I just get one of those and plug it in or are the wiring harnesses different? And why wouldn't my tach work anyway? Fuses are all good, lights work, and it runs great, so it shouldn't be this "relay" everyone talks about right?

Your tach is wired off of the speedo, so that is why it doesn't work. I think that you can get the speed/tach unit but you may have to swap a wire. Do a search on dootalk.com, I thought that there was a couple of posts on that.
