Amazon is replacing it, so I dont have to worry about the added time thru gates to send a new one.. did they ever say what the issue was?

No,just sent a new one. Mine had longer selections on it and the rubber was laying under the clutch. I had the belt deflection set right and everything was running well.

Same here as for deflection etc. im debating not ordering another and trying Ultimax.

Yup, same issue, except it chunked all the way around the belt on the outside edge, not just one spot. I sent it in for warranty and awaiting a replacement. It's definitely a belt issue, or at least until I get my replacement...

I would agree its a belt issue. If my offset or mounts were all jacked up, the belt would be grenading and not just chunked in one location.

Plus it seems like a lot of people have had the same issue.

I'm not sure what the factory recommended offset is, maybe somebody has that answer, but on my Axys the inside of my secondary clutch sheave when pushed toward the bulkhead (should have a little float on the shaft) measures 1 7/16" from the bulkhead. I don't have any belt issues at all.

One should ask themselves why its only failing on the outside edge.

Enlighten.. my polaris belt had no issues. I swapped with the gates to see how it worked in comparison.. what do u think could be the issue other than the belt?

I’ll measure mine (that sounds weird) tonight and see what the offset is.

If used PROPERLY the gates carbon is the best in performance and reliability.

We have used and abused these belts. Turbo sleds, NA, in the trees, held wide open... they perform the best and last.

If you are having issues, it’s not the belt, it’s self induced.
