Gas rack for 02 Summit???????

I don't think the rack is sold anymore through SkiDoo. I did see a homemade one on a Cat that looked good. He had taken 2 strips of aluminum angle iron and riveted it onto the tunnel. The angle iron had holes drilled in it for the gas can straps.
pm "wildchild" on snowest. He has very nice custom sized gas racks that are cheap. you can also get a LED brake light to get rid of the stock friggin huge and ugly light. Worth the bucks... light, strong, perfect size and looks cool!

He makes a strong nice looking rack that can cary 2 cans side by side.

I have one that will fit. It is coated with black powdercoating and comes with (2) 1.5 gallon gas cans. I had it on a 2003 ZX chassis.

Never had a rack on my '02.
Just used to lay a towel on the tunnel and use tiedowns to hold 3 gallon can in place. Liked the 3 gallon because it had the same size base as a 5 gallon can but only 2/3 as tall.
There are holes in the drop brackets ideal for a cam-style (motor cycle) tie down. One hook goes in the hole, loop thru gas can and other hook goes around bumper, just pull strap to tighten. One stap per side. Never had an issued with it bouncing off or coming loose.
Problem with some racks is they only fit certain cans.

What are you smokin???? What gas can do you put in the rack??? it is so friggin small!
I went to the local salvage yard and yanked one off a cat, got it for $30 and it holds 2 five gallon gans.
