Gas Cans

What does everyone use for hauling gas on the back? I have a 2.5 or 3 gallon sitting around but man is there lots of room in the rack still.

Is there a can that fits better or what is the best way of strapping a gas can down good and tight?

I think most use a 2.5 gal can. I looked at quite a few before finding one that fit good from front to back in the rack. I use the original polaris can straps to hold mine from side to side. I think any of the snap together straps that fit, would hold well. My riding partner uses two smaller cans, I think 1.25 gal, that also work well.

I've since swapped the shovel bag and gas rack

IMO, carrying more gas on the tunnel is not good for long term durability of the tunnel itself. Imagine the weight beating on it thru the whoops and such. If you want to carry more fuel on a regular basis, a trail tank is a better solution.
