Garmin Rhinos ???

I was looking into buying a couple last year, the thing that turned me off was the fact that you had to key the mike inorder for you to show up on the map.

So if your stuck and your buddy is still riding around you can't see him and he can't see you unless he stops and keys his mike and you have to sitting there holding your's down as well.

Or is there some way around this so you show up on the map at all times...and does it continually drain more battery to be on the map at all times ????

You can locate your buddies from your own unit. Once they are programmed in your buddies will show up when you hit a certain button(No they don't have to be hitting the mic either) Not sure of what to hit since I don't have a rhino yet, but I already researched this product.

Polling

Function is called polling. Click the icon on the map of who you want to update, go to the menu and poll for a new position.

Great product, go with a HCx model if you can afford it. Better sensitivity on GPS

So how long will batteries last if its exposed on the dash of your sled in freezing temps.
