Garage Heaters

I figured your skill set is pretty low considering that your sled is still not together after 4 years......

If you were a little closer, I would do it for you.. Should not take more then 30 minutes...

low blow man!

I looked last night, looks like I could run a new line off the main and out my laundry room into the back of the garage no troubles.

Sorry for the low blow... I could not resist! :D

Perfect, if you need any help, give me a buzz, I will see if I can guide you through the process.

Thanks.

As for the low blow, well I have set myself up for that over the last 4 years.

would a basic salamder heater work for you. you can get them in propane of gas. You plug them in to electric and that works the blower and the fuel is your heat. they do need vented but way cheaper and you can move them around.

It would Tim. That's what I use up north, diesel fuel powered. It works great, though it's like a jet is in the shop and i always smell like diesel. Even when cracking the garage door 2-3 feet. But I do work in short sleeves when it's 20 below. Course the fumes and noise could be due to age, it's gotta be 20 plus years old. I thought about propane but I have heard of people getting headaches from them, but others haven't.

My main issue with salamanders is, I don't have lots of space especially on the floor so it would be one more thing for me to move around and trip over.

mine is propane and haven't had any problems.

What about a wood stove? I actually have wood stove and a blower heater like the cayenne in my shop. Both have good attributes.

yeah it seems only a handful of people have issues with the propane.

I'd love to do wood, but at least in MN if insurance finds out your rates go sky high. That and I don't have ready access to wood down here and I refuse to pay 80-100 a cord.

^^^^^ Very Cool ^^^^^ To bad I don't get any direct sunlight for 4 months of the year in the winter. One of the downfalls of living on a north facing mountain and the sun in the southern hemisphere.
