Needed to break in my boots before a big trip, so I took a hike up to Gallagher today from the Teanaway side. The dogs and I scrambled up the eastern Hawkins Peak. It was pretty embarrassing how much sled trash was up there. Beer cans, belts, half a polaris 500 efi hood, track lugs, track clips, a shovel handle, more beer cans, more blown belts, etc., etc.

Nice trip, though. Lots of huckleberries down low. No bugs. Hazy views.

Nice pics newtrout. See any bucks? My 12 yo is looking for his first this year. Never saw a horn last season. I archery and don't even hunt till late season usually. Thinkin of taking him up on bikes in October if there is no snow to keep us out(wishful thinking). If my F350 would fit up the trail, I would make a run up to haul a load out but that is not an option I think. Any of you guys with the crawler, got some room, bring some out. And yes, haul your sh*t out during the season. It fit on the way in, it will fit somewhere on the way out.

Nice pics. Looks like you had better weather than I did. Hiked up Mt. Dickerman off the Mtn. loop hwy. It was pretty socked in. Hate to say it guys, but I didn't see one piece of trash on a hiker only trail. Pack it out! I'm tired of cleaning up after everyone. At the Gold Creek cleanup that Framus put on NOBODY but me and my two kids showed up.

Looks like you had a nice time Jeff. Looks like fun.

Nice Pics!!!

The view doesn't disappoint in the Summer either. That's my motorcycle goal this year...to be able to ride to Gallagher by Fall.

The trash left behind disgusts me. Pick up your chit, People!!!

Holly - You can do it, work on using your front brake coming down hill. I took two guys up last year, one was 63, the other 70.....The older guy was afraid of the front brake and I got a lot of laughs following him down.

We saw about 20 elk up in the trees above the lake, just off the jeep trail.....

Did you happen to notice if the hooch shack was still there on the way up Newtrout??

Thank you, Sweetheart!!! Yes! I will practice up. It might be steep goal this year though. I only have about 200 miles on the bike...I am a new rider. But...I haven't tipped over yet! :D
