G8 Gauge issues?

Apparently there is an update for the g8 I just noticed this weekend when I was riding. Haven’t done it yet but maybe it will fix some of these issues.

Any body that has the 858 with the electric start should take a second and check their battery cables , my negative was maybe at Best finger tight positive was ok could be causing some of your intermittent buggaboos with the G8 and who knows what else . I am not sure if that is a Factory or dealer connection at the battery , I wasn't having issues except the snow sucks and I was installing a 5lb lipo battery and noticed it wasn't tight at all !!! So between the battery and can looks somewhere in the 25 lb neighborhood on weight loss don't have the can handy to weigh , battery was 2/3 lighter !! Needs to snow !! Factory battery is going in the wife's m8000 soon as I get the electric start installed , she doesn't care about the weight and or won't know !

Dealer installs the battery. They have to service and charge it.

I was told that the loose negative cable is dealers like to remove the cable so battery doesn't discharge and then can connect it to start it.

I can understand that but man that can cause serious gremlin issues on anything

You may want to check to see if it has a software update available as well. I updated mine when I picked up the sled in December and when I checked it last week there where new updates available.
