G4/G5 Rail compatibility

Does anybody know for certain whether the G5 rails will or will not fit a G4 summit? Might have the opportunity to swap with a friend, my G4 165 set up for his G5 154. If its been covered already PLEASE LINK IT. I've scoured this and other forums and cant find a yay or nay answer.

On Partzilla it shows different part #'s for the rails on the two machines you ask about. That fact and the different rear shock length tells me they are not the same and are probably not compatible without modification.

They will, but it will cost you more money in buying a new rear arm and rear shock. If you swap rear suspension straight across with him you are winning. G5 suspension in a G4.
