Saw these on the Timbersled mountainhorse at Puyallup/SLC.
Can run from a LiPo battery or plug into the diagnostic link on a fuel injected bike... or of course the lighting circuit if equipped.

Comes with bracket to mount to handlebar clamp.

Pretty slick!!

I was going to do that but decided the solstice was a better option for me,they set me up with two batteries and the power plug for my bike and one for my sled!

Thanks Mountainhorse:yo:
We had a good 24hr race this last weekend, although it rained and turned into a muckfest, everyone had a good time.
There are now a bunch more KX450s and other bikes running around with the Penatrator LED lights:bounce:
We sold out of all lights both Solstice HID and Penatrators early fri night, I saw a few familiar snowbike riders at the event. A track might not have been a bad idea this year.

I gotta tell you, those lights look sweet. Once all my essentials are on the bike I'll see this as my next purchase. Quick question though... is there a quick mount/release system for this light? I would hate to break it during the day on a tree or a wreck by mistake. I keep thinking it would be perfect in my pack until I needed it.

It does come off quickly. the mount uses the two forward handle bar pinch bolts to hold it on, then the wires for power and switch can be unplugged at the handle bars.
The light is made from alu, with a polycarbonate lens. I think you would be hard pressed to break it. One took a direct hit at about 50mph in the dirt/mud this last weekend, No damage.
For a portable light the Solstice HID would be a better fit.

That why I got the solstice instead

Update

Thanks to everyone who is running this light. It came to our attention that the KXF's rubber mounted Bars was causing a ground issue with some bikes. Its important to run the ground to the tripple trees and not to the mounting plate to get a good ground.
Thanks
Darryl

just put one on my ktm... disapointed... i cant use my bar pad any more... would have given it alot better fit and finish... easy dismount would have been a nice option too for 300$

Ya the mounting wasn't perfect had to make some spacers to raise it up and the bracket needs to be bent down some so you have some light adjustment. But that can be takin care of. The light is awsome.

Well Thats the first time Ive heard that...Maybe a phone call would be in order???
Since your not happy, I am more than happy to give you back your $$ We dont want any unhappy customers out there
I'm surprised that pulling out 2 bolts is difficult?

Thanks for the input. We use the same mount for the bikes as the quads. We are starting to include longer bolts and spacers with the kit, some need them some do not. In most cases no spacers are required. Same goes with using a plate that may need a bend for one bike but not another.
We are attempting to keep the price down, the more Bike specific stuff that we add drives the price upward.

tow bolts is easy... two cotter pins like a mountain addiction setup is easier. no tools. no cold hands. just an opinion. but now having bar pad is questionable.

If you are attempting to remove the light on every ride a helmet mounted sytem would work better for you. This light was in no way designed to be a portable light. It does not sound like your application is correct.
You are the first to mention or be concerned about the bar pad. Personally I dont run them on any bikes,But do understand you want one.
I'snt there a way around that. We where able to get a stock pad on the skidoo sleds with the light mounted. The design is about the same.
My offer stands.. Send the light back...

Wow .. Quite the response. Sure didn't mean to offend you, Sorry that I did.. Not really sure how I did that . I'm only trying to help by offering a possible suggestion for the bar pad issue.
We do the best we can , but sometimes we can not make unforeseen allowances for all the aftermarket parts you may want to put on your bike.If we know about a particular product or issue we attempt to find a solution. Much like we have with the flex bars.
A phone call to us would have maybe got you a solution and an Idea about how to deal with your desire to run a bar pad that was not original to your bike,or at least we could have talked about it. Slamming our product and now myself over something like this seam a bit off base to me.
Are there any other customers of this product who are "Disappointed"? I haven't heard of any. Quite the opposite.
