FYI- OIL LINES, WIRES, FIXED/RE-ROUTED ON 12' SLEDS

That line needs to be open to atmosphere...or else the power-valves will not function correctly.

saw guys have re-routed the hose towards the exhaust side, will it affect the sled in anyway by having it there rather than straight down into the belly pan?

Routed mine to the exhaust side, right beside the chain case cover. This way you can clean any "sludge" that comes out really easy. And yes, X4 don't plug it.

If you put a 90 degree elbow on the end of the hose it will fit through the drain hole and then any mess is outside the sled.

It is foam that has been zip tied to the edge of the running board. Mine came that way from the factory when i picked up my snowcheck 12' Pro RMK 163. It allows the running board to stay fresh up until you pick the sled up from the dealer.:face-icon-small-hap

I'm keeping mine on during transport. It looks like there are some new traction tits on that outer board for the '12's that may eat the cover when transporting.

Anyone have any info, (part numbers) on these 2 harness covers now on the 12's. If nothing else, I would like to put them on my 11, just to clean thing things up, always thought the wiring harness looked messy and unfinished. Edit: was on Polaris Microfishe, they show something looking like said covers, but shows no discreption, but a Part number of 2685075, and a price of $4.97 ea, can anyone verify if this is indeed the correct part number?

hmmm... I own a 2012 Pro RMK 163" and don't have this cover on mine...

The master mechanic at my dealer told me not to plug that hose because the powervalves wouldn't work right, he also told me to make sure that it opens up in a warm place so it doesn't get iced up.

The engine runs funny when the hose ices up. It takes about 3 miles of ONLY part throttle to thaw enough of a hole in the ice to run somewhat normal again. I run mine out the nosepan hole and trim off any iced up hose throughout the winter. I'd rather do this than clean valve spooge out of the bulkhead.

I thought the 2009-2010 iq 800's didnt have the bleeder hose? That by plugging them it opens the valves earlier??? Correct me if I'm wrong. By just saying "dont do it" without an explanation just leaves more questions....

Leaving it the way the motor was designed is the best way.

The mapping on the ECU is designed to work in conjunction with smooth working Powervalves...Simply putting in a bolt and hoping for the best is not a great idea IMO.
