FXR boots

Just by looking at the formas they look like a solid boot, a little lighter than an average MX boot. It looks like a good option. The bilt discoveries have more plastic on the outside; the heel looks beefier just by the looks they are on the same level but almost the third on price. In boots I feel like you don't get what you pay for, it's more like high end audio it is a whole lot more money for a little better. The formas from the sounds of internet opinions are a solid boot, but so was the fxr when I got them. I want to look at the Alpinestar boot before I make a decision.

Just came back from a different cycle gear and they had Alpinestars and just way better quality than any of the other boots I looked at. Formas are not for me, I cold touch the outside if the toe area and feel it on the foot. Formas are awsome dualsport boot but the protection is way less than a MX boot. I took a look at the tech 3, they have a Enduro version that has a liner and the sole is a little more textured. Tech 3 enduros can be had for about 220, this is likely the one. Another boot I liked was the Oneal elements around 110 not waterproof but has good protection, may be a good candidate for waterproof socks.

Update: looked at some more boots today, and ordere the apinestars tech 3 enduro. Another note I saw the Fly boots and they appear to be identical to the FXR boot but different sole pattern the rest of it looks identical.

I Road in my fxr xcross boots without a major issue on my friends snow bike.

I have a pair off Alpinestar touring boots that apparently are discontinued the model was the scout but there great boots if you can find some on ebay or something 100% water proof with some gortex insulation

I've rode Formas for 2 seasons now and they are fantastic. Warm enough for Canadian riding and waterproof. If I didnt have the protection of an MX boot I would have broke my foot/leg last year for sure coming down on a stump.if you're worried about being cold get a size bigger and run heated insoles or just thick socks.
