Funny sound from sled!

I have a 06 Summit Adrenaline 800 and yesterday when the sled was not running and I would sit on the seat is sounded like a steady horn was going off, but not that loud. What the hell is that?

It's the gas tank vent. Just open your gas cap and it will go away. I have an 05 and it does it all the time when it's warmer out.

But your right it is a funny sound!

can be your rear shock slowly compressing. sometimes it makes funny sounds.

it's got to be the shock. my 04 and 09 do it. and the vent is up by the ski

The sound is the seat venting the air in it out. Not the gas cap.

THe first response was correct.
My gas tank "Moans" all the time when I first fill it and sit on it!

The 1st response is correct my 05 does it all the time. My 2 year old thinks it is hilarious..........Take your gas cap off and you will find it goes away, this way you can check if if is your seat or shock.......ITS NOT THOUGH

i third that..... mine does that all of the time and then when you losen gas cap off, the air rushes out the hole.
