Fun with punks.....

ive had an slp pipe into an mbrp race can on every sled ive owned since 2003. i ride all over ak and not once have i ever heard a tree hugger say anything about the noise. but since you people live in alaska (you dont live in alaska) you would know about noise issues better than me......

Bring it on! I'll bet my quiet old man's sled will outrun and outclimb you...checkout my location...and yes, niose is a VERY BIG issue here for anyone that cares to or will listen.

he lives here and you live there. all hes saying is that nobody around here complains unless your riding through the streets at 3 am isnt it funny that even silencers make a sled louder

Enviro's will never say anything to YOU about it. They're smarter than that. They'll whine to city folk that know nothing about sleds or sledders, but are very eager to make themselves feel better by donating to what they percieve as a worthy cause based on one sided information. Our best defense is to not give them the amunition in the first place. We haven't been very good at that so far.

man i was hoping for s@v3ior as well.

course I'm thinking that not everyone in the AK is as saweeet as andy and his apple juice.

Is the real question who wants to go unnoticed and who want to be noticed? at least for the noise level your sled omits
Personally i do not want to be noticed.

i dont remember saying anything about a race or about hillclimbing....all i said was nobody around here cares about noise....i mean im not riding through town at all hours of the night but ive done my share of ditch banging and never got a complaint. ive got them on dirt bike though. but i hope what ever you ride can outrun and outclimb a 440. most sleds will..

This place just gets out of controll when we aren't riding..... We need snow so bad!!!!

The loud can thread in the Polaris section was out of controll.... The poor noob asked a simple question and got flamed by educators..... I knew that one was going to head south in a hurry... but to drag it out here and keep it going.....????

ULLR Let it Snow!!!! Snowest is becoming a bashing zone because the motorheads are stuck at their keyboards!!!!

I've yet to hear a quite sled.... So I guess everybody is guilty..... Splitting hares I.M.O.

Everybody has to learn. At that age I wanted the loudest sled too. Now I just want performance without the headache at the end of the day noise. Lot of newbies on here that don't know what the search function is for.

hey i have an idea.......lets all get mad because someone asked a question about a can.. and instead of just giving him our opinion we are going to be homosexual about it..(not)

Sooooo, we should all run really loud cans, then when all of our local riding areas get shut down, we can come to Alaska? Coool. I hope you like sharing your pristine terrain with 100,000 other sledders and our super loud cans.

I realise what you are saying dude, but just because the noise issues don't affect you personally, doesn't mean that they don't affect the greater snowmobiling community as a whole. Please remember that you are the privileged minority where people do not care about noise, most sledders have to deal with riding area closures due to noise as one of the number one issues. Loud does not equal better, and I con't care what any company tells you, cans shed weight, they don't add HP. Pipes are what makes HP on a two stroke, the silencer is just there to deaden sound.

All sledders need to ask themselves, what whould you rather have, a couple more decibels or no place to ride?
