Fuel injector issue

I pulled out my '12 Pro the other day and it was only running on the PTO side. Figured out it was not fueling the MAG injector and pulled the connector off to find what looked like glue from a hot glue gun, same color and hard just that type of glue. I used a pick to clear that crap out of the connector and put it back together and works great now. Has anybody ever seen this stuff or know what it is? It was definitely not dielectric grease.

Has me curious now.... I just had everything torn apart yesterday but didn't pull anything apart.

May have to do some glue hunting

How did you get the injector to harness off? Mine are stuck on there like they are glued on too. Even Polaris sells the whole injector harness with the injectors as one unit. I wonder if they do put some kind of glue on them all to eliminate separation...

The '11's have a metal clip to release them. The '12 has the typical plastic tab to push and release, it is just hidden since the harness is wrapped in tape. I was not happy having to pull the turbo off to get access to the injector, especially since it's on it's second motor and barely has 600 miles on it.

SB: Did you lose the motor under boost or was it stock?

Boosted, but it wouldn't have made a difference. The brass oil line fitting that is pressed into the stock oil pump came out.

Injectors

They are deliberately glued from the factory. Polaris does this on some ATVs and Rangers too. Aparrently the engine vibration can rattle the clips loose. With the glue and tape, that can't happen.

Maybe they should have glued on my oil line fitting, lol. I was actually suprised to see how little knurling was on the fitting. In this case it looks like the glue did not help when it came to having a good electrical connection.
