Fuel Filter or Something Else?

09 Assault with 1100 miles. Update and new flash done at 1000 miles two weeks ago. Was riding last Saturday and the sled ran well for the first couple of hours. Going to our next play spot the sled died while going around 5500 rpms, it was like I had hit the kill switch. I initailly thought that I had lost the ecu and was going to need a tow out but the sled fired right back up. Got to the play spot and was going to climb a hill but when I grabbed a hand full the sled cut out and keep cutting out if I tried to get over 6000 rpms. No warning lights came on. Changed plugs and checked all connections with no improvement. Decided to turn around and limp her back to the truck. It got worst on the trail back to the truck cutting out every few minutes bringing me to a complete stop, although it never shut down the motor completly. I am not sure if the fuel filter was changed during the update but I did not specifically asked for to be done either. Does this sound like a fuel filter problem or something else? Sled is stock, only other problems were scuffed (beyond repair) cylinders found during the update and two exhaust sensors. Thanks for any help.

I just had the same thing happen to my 09 d8 around 600 miles after update. First it was very slight on a long steep pull and now it is all the time cutting out above 6000 r's checked a bunch of stuff and found that the mag cylinder didn't have much for compesion. At first the check engine light was not flashing but after a couple rides as the problem was more consistant it did start flashing. dropped it off at the dealer the other day I should hear something from them tomorrow. I would check compresion and start from there if that is good maybe you have some bad fuel the det is very sensitive. Try a couple gallons of av gas (100LL) hope this helps.
