Fuel Controller / 06 700

I'm running a 06 700. I had a new top end put in before last season and most everything else was gone thru this summer. The only thing that's a unknown is the bottom end which I don't have too much worry about. The sled runs fantastic, I can't wait to run it side by side with some of the 900's on here at the 900 Ride this year to see how it stacks up. I'm doing some clutching and gearing to give it a bit more before the season starts too.
That being said, I'm wondering if I need or want to get a fuel controller, think it's called PC-V?
I know it changes the mapping of the fuel and how/when its released.

1. What are the benefits of doing this on my sled?
2. What is entailed in the install?
3. What level of increased performance will I see if I do?

Jeff...

im not a guru of fuel controller at all, and no little about the PC-V, but i know that BIGGDAWG is using one on his 06 900 and his bro has the PC-III on his 06 900...you might wanna PM him on it..

i know there is no maping for the 05/06 900, ecspecially the 700...as they made their own maps, but yours would be different of coarse for the 755, but they also made their own pig tail harness for the injector connections...

you would want to get at least EGT gauges to properly tune it...and maybe A/F to fine tune it also...

but IMO...its worth it either way you go...PC-V, PC-III

i have a boondockers box you could buy if you wanted too...i need $$ for the turbo control box ;)

LOL...how cute!! jk buddy..

EGT= Exhaust Gas Tempature

Exhaust gas temperature gauges (pyrometers) are necessary for "sled builder" enthusiasts that want to tune their sled to the max. These gauges allow you to see if your EGT is getting too high BEFORE damage occurs.

you will NEED dual gauge setup (1 for each cylinder) with probes mounted into the Y-PIPE.

there are a few out there, but i would stick with Digatron and KOSO...best bang gauges for the price, and their still not cheap!!

but your better off getting take offs from guys on the swapmeet, alot cheaper...($100-$200)

sample of the KOSO gauge on ebay..

A/F= Air Fuel

reads the air/fuel ratios in the exhuast, so you can tell if your running lean/rich. used only for tuning the control box...when its tuned, you MUST remove the sensor in the pipe or you will burn it out and have to replace it....not meant to run ALL the time like EGTs...

i would only get AEM or KOSO for A/F setup...and again, alot better deals in the swapmeet!

heres one from ebay
