^^^^ I run the same as above but the other way with the tunnel bag next to the seat for lower profile when stepping over and to get to the shovel when the back end is dug in.

That's a really small fuel can, I wouldn't as concerned about that weight. Mine is almost 3gal so I keep it further forward as it is definitely heavier than my tunnel pelican case.This has crossed my mind. I am going with the 1gallon rotopax so I can keep my factory bag on there as well. so, 8 lbs of fuel plus the weight of the can. I plan to buy one of the large mounting place to displace the weight a little more which might help. I also am not so sure that my pack will be under 8 lbs when loaded.
