fuel and heads- RKT or others

With the 14.1 heads, do you need to run premium or can you run regular gas. I bought a used RKT head for my 01 Summit 700 and pretty sure it is the 14:1 head. I used to run regular all the time but wondering if I will need to run premium now?

I guess this would pertain to any head...

You'd better use at least premium fuel with 14:1 compression. I'm guessing your elevation around 5000'- 6000'.

Depends on a number of things, I would call RKT and ask. The 14.8:1 RKT 800R head last season was a pump gas head over 7000ft.

pretty shure they recomend 91 from the factory, definately run at least 91 on 14:1 head. depending on elevation, you might have to splash in some race for saftey, thats getting up there.
