i trimmed them for avid drivers, and also had a timbersled skid installed, so i have 2 small holes on each part of the rail in the back where the bracket was installed, but will not affect anything if you use a stock suspension.
also have a set of bone stock 166 rails that are used but never trimmed or modified in any way.
