Fruit Flies

I got fruit flies in my house bad and very little fruit, just a bunch of bananas as usual....never had them this bad.

I notice they like the chitters.....could it be the kids diapers and pull ups that are attracting them? I kind of doubt it since they just showed up a month or so ago.

Need ideas to get rid of them....nothing wrong with them, but they bug me.

I get them in the shop from the empty beer can container.

I had an old potato that was out of sight......couldn't figure out why the fruit flies. Searched and searched, and found the tater had rolled out of the bag and was out of view, but definitely the attractant. Once I got ride of that, the fruit flies disappeared within a week.

Kids maybe put a banana someplace and it got bad?

well both but I think i can't get rid of the kids.

I noticed some old beer holders that weren't rinsed had the flies, but we remedied that problem a couple weeks ago.

guess we are hunting......after i tell the wife the banana needs to be hidden

Take a glass and put some apple cider vinegar and a little drop of dish soap. It worked for us, we put it in front of our beer-amid
