Frozen In Time Moto?

So I haven't heard from the Frozenmoto guys in quite some time. Maybe they are too busy climbing Everest to update the world on their progress. In fact I can't even find their website anymore. Sounds like a timbersled conspiracy to me. I have high hopes for the future of snowbikes, they are in their infancy and already have made many park their sleds and never look back. Is there any news from 2moto on an updated kit? We need some innovation/competition to drive the sport forward. Frozenmoto prove the Timbersled masses wrong, 2moto revise your engineering marvel with an improved approach angle and more floatation. Let's get this sport out of its infancy and into it's out of control youth stage.

Yeah they had a whole bunch of good, informational posts at the beginning of summer, but nothing since.

You are right but i think the weak link is in the bikes themselves not the kit. Timbersleds design is excellent. The paralellagram track/ approach angle design has been basically the same in sleds for many years and for a good reason...it works and works well.
Getting these engines to the 85 to 100hp mark is the key in my opinion. To get that kind of reliable HP its got to be a twin cyl. Which of course will add weight. I think another 30 lbs wouldnt be a deal breaker either. Couple that with a mild turbo and then youd really have something. This is gonna require a redesign from the ground up. Were talking dedicated snowbike here. 4" lower in the seat height area, but not as heavy as the hawk.
You ever notice that on that rare occasion when you can hit 4th and get some real track speed your bike just flat gets up and goes? Thats what 100 or even 80hp will do.....but better. Aprilia got close with that sxv 550 but the reliability wasnt there. How bout an 800cc lightweight twin?

In terms of new kits to progress the sport you will see one soon, mono shock design, custom snow bike specific ski, light weight, chromoly.....

I think a small 5psi turbo would be the ticket! The backwards yamaha would be a perfect candidate as with the exhast comming out the rear and tons of room where the pipe does the loop a small turbo like on a 660 cat would be perfect!

I've been chatting with Frozen Moto, they are ready to go and Dan raced a FM in a super cross on the weekend I believe.
I'm torn between the FM and the Timbersled long track for my 690, I've given myself till Thursday to decide.
It's started snowing in the Canadian Rockies!
Bring it on! Let it snow!

Dan was down at the Big Nasty with us. We had booths down there with Timbersled, 2 Moto and Frozen Moto all in a row. We had like one big snow bike outlet going on there! We all raced our snow bikes and had fun; there was 7 of us total. Every ones products did well.

I did talk to Dan about his kits and sounds like he is going to build kit on a custom order bases.

So it snowed in Idaho

First let me thank all of you who are interested in what we have going on at Frozen MOTO!

Eskimo Joe we haven't been "frozen in time" but "pushing the limits of snow biking" as we have never stopped to rest this summer.

As Allen indicated we had a great time at the Big Nasty! so much in fact we took it to the next level and supercrossed the SMX, pictures included. I know thats another first for Frozen MOTO and the snow bike industry period. That received some really wide eyed reactions and was fun to show the handling that snow bikes have.

Frozen MOTO is a small company that is experiencing growth and as such we are producing this year in a custom order capacity, you order one you get one. We have growth model right now that will allow us to remain in business and not be here yesterday and today and gone tomorrow.

As for the website it has been updated and should be back online again today as we updated yesterday and it was up until then.

lets see am I leaving out any answers to the speculation about FM?

Thanks for the continued Interest in Frozen MOTO! You can also stay current with Frozen MOTO happenings at Facebook as we update there regularly. This is the first time we have been on here in some time, about three months or more, and don't check here regularly. If you have a question of Frozen MOTO you can also inquire directly through email or phone which is located on our website www.FrozenMOTO.com

Tom,
not sure if you realize but 2 MOTO is patented mono shock technology and Timbersled and FM both utilize chromoly and aluminium for light weight attainment as well. At Frozen MOTO we are only 25 pounds different in snow bike set up from the dirt bikes natural weight. Have you posted any of pics of your unit?

Thanks
Dan

dirt testing

good way to test for weak construction, that dirt is a hard landing.

watched cat test new sleds in the dirt on hot minnesota summer afternoons, a couple of good long mud holes on each end of a super cross track to cool the heat exchanger, you get right quick to any weak links.

Catsledman1 Dirt Testing

Catsled,
That was my thoughts as well. Your either dialed or you find out quick! Figured we would get a reaction out of it if nothing else. It worked flawlessly with NO problems!

You can see the range of suspension used in the "testing" in the suspensions pictures. From wide open to all but bottoming out you can see it stretch and then rebound back into position. The Dual speed compression and rebound rates are amazing! This is the only truly infinitely adjustable suspension and it is built with our relationship with Fox Racing Shox.

Now if we can just get the white stuff to start flying...
Thanks for the response I am going to try and be on here more through the rest of the winter since we are heading in that direction.
Thanks again
Dan
