Front Shocks 07 800 X

I have a 07 800R X 159 model, and was wondering which way the front shocks should be pointing. On my sled the exposed rod is facing upward, but I have noticed many of the same model sleds with the rod end pointing down. Can anyone tell me which is the correct way these shocks should be pointing? I have ridden my buddies sled that is opposite to mine and they seem to perform the same way. Any help would be appreciated, I don't want to damage them.

Thanks

The exposed rod should be facing down for wind resistance, This will make your sled much faster

Turn them so the shock boody is up....or the "exposed rod" down. The thoery in that is you keep water form sitting on the seals and rottong them or letting it seep past the initial seal. Also give you less "unsprung" wieght. Not really enough to mention but there is some difference.
