Played a little ping pong this weekend. First I did this which was downright amazing:

Stock bumper crumpled so I'm looking for recommendations. I really like the Skinz Dan Adams NXT LVL. Anyone running one of these? I got the OEM skid plat on, looks like I have to remove it to run that bumper. Either way, need something by EOW so I can ride next weekend.

I have the Poo Ultimate/Extreme front bumper on mine along with a Poo skid plate. So far so good.

I had the VE front bumper on my last Pro. I liked the function of it, but didn't care for the way it mounted. This time around I think I'll be going with the B&M. If it's anything like their running boards, I'll never have anything else.

If you are going to climb trees you really need to point your sled the other direction!

I loved the fact that my stock bumper crumpled first and didn't ruin anything else. I went with the extreme front bumper next time around. Haven't tested it yet - luckily.

Unfortunately for my wallet I have plenty of insight on this particular subject. in the last 2 years I have been through 3 stock bumpers and 3 Polaris extreme front bumpers. None of them will take a major hit. However, the extreme is much better than stock because it generally protects the plastics on the front when you hit.

Couple weeks ago my sled was in the shop and I took a demo sled out. Hit a tree on that thing. It has the polaris ultimate extreme whatever it is and I was surprised to see the bumper actually faired well. In fact it was perfect just a scratch. however under the hood both sides of the upper spar assembly were broken! FML just for the record those things are $600 + a piece for the carbon fiber ones. You can buy a lot of regular bumpers for the price of that.

I recommend sticking to a bumper that will give in on a big hit. Doesnt matter what bumper you have if you hit hard there is going to be damage on the sled and the bumper is the cheapest.

For the record I have yet to try any other aftermarket bumpers. There are lots that look nice but after finding out how weak that stupid upper is I will definitely stick to weak bumpers.

Thanks for advice everyone. I picked up the Polaris extreme as it was what was in stock at my shop and the price was right. I really wanted the Skinz Dan Adams, but looks like it was gonna take at least a week to get here and I really don't want to miss this storm cycle we are in here in the PacNW. Given this winter you need to get it while its good.

The Tri city performance front bumper is awesome! It's super stout and I've had great luck with it. It protects your panels too which is nice.

This is the best pic I have of it on my phone. Don't mind the motor missing from my sled... #polarisproblems... Lol

That over structure piece is only about $280 depending on where you get it. I managed to break one tab off and was able to re attach the piece with leftover glue from my bulkhead. I'm not replacing the over structure unless I absolutely have to.

My favorite bumper is the WRP, I love the wrap around. It protects the front of the side panels and makes a great grab handle. IMO the biggest downfall of the Skins bumper is the sharp edges, I've caught my pants on them a lot. Edit: Skins uses an additional mount so it doesn't matter if the tabs are broken.

couldn't agree more - I run the Polaris extreme to protect the plastics and save the chasis.

I have the Skinz Dan Adams bumper. Love the looks of it. Absolutely hate how much snow sticks to the bash plate. If you get one I would not recommend installing the bash plate (it comes separate with the bumper). When the temps are cold snow sticks to it really badly. I have found the front plastics on the sled get hot from the pipe and it transfers onto the bumper.

Ended up going with the Polaris Xtreme, it was a convenience thing as it'll get me back on the hill it time for this next storm cycle as my shop had it in stock. Thanks for all the great recommendations everyone.
