Nephew is installing a 166x2.4" Polaris track, on his 01 skidoo 800. sled has a 43x20 gear, (2.15 ratio). I was thinking 2.45 would be a good ratio to get to with the big track. My question is, what does going to 8t drivers from 9t do to the ratio? What do I need to do to get to that 2.45 mark?? and is that a good ratio to run with such a big track?

If it was me i would go 19-47 or atleast 19-45 min

On 8 tooth drivers, 19/47 would put you at 2.78, which would probably work really well for that big of a track. 19/45 would put you at 2.66, which isn't bad either.

What is the formula to use when calculating in the size of the drivers? I know with just the gears, you divide the big by the small, but how do the drivers get calculated into the equation? Thanks.
