knee deep in it

went sleddin yesterday. I had a flu that got progressively worse. When I got home, I grabbed my cell, wallet, and camera and went inside to crawl into bed.

Got up this morning and my truck, sled, and gear is gone. Sled wasn't insured yet because I was waiting for a frickin recall letter from ski-doo (2 weeks) and I am going to take a bath on the 2001 f250 diesel truck as it was in much better shape than what the blue book value will be. Close to $3,000 in gear ( complete Klim outfit, beacon, gps, Tobe helmet, gloves, loading ramp, tunnel bag, steering post bag etc)

here is a pic of the sled taken yesterday on its one and only ride for me.

all in all, I figure I will end up around 10 grand worse off today than I was yesterday.

Knee,

Where are you located so those that live around can keep an eye out?

And yet another great reason to add your location.. among thousands of others...

Sorry to hear about your loss... I hope you catch them and serve up some cold heart'd revenge.. much better than grand theft.. :D:D

i live in calgary, one of the safest areas in the city because there are only 3 exits from this subdivision. I guess F250 are real popular this year in Cagary amongst the thieves.

Your avatar is exactly what I would be doing if I was in your shoes.

Sorry about your stuff. Stay positive, something good will come from this!

That sucks man!

Geez, I sure hope you get your stuff back.
I will keep an eye out for ya,

I always have insurance on my sleds and stuff. I can't afford not to.

State Farm and John Browning insure all my things. I hate to hear that. Best of luck getting this straightened out.

that sucks. now the ****ing adjuster is going to rub salt in the wound and try to **** you again. i just got done dealing with them bastards on my sled.

man

sorry to here that mike i hope you had a good ride with us monday, all that driving for you to ride with us for the day and then that,i had my superduty stolen right from my house ,they are easy to steal later clint

Knee...not sure if sleds are like cars...but you get a pretty good window from the date of purchase (which I'm sure the dealer is willing to work with you on...;)) to insure the vehicle...I believe it's 30 days for cars down here...not sure about sleds and/or up there.

Hate that shiat...old school values...old school punishment......

Man that sucks so big. Too much crappy stuff this season. Hang in. I hope you get set up again without too much $$pain.

well, they found the truck. Sled and gear is gone.

The truck has damage to the locks, ignition, and one tire is flat. Not sure why it would have a flat tire, maybe they hit a curb or something. Anyways, I am taking it in for a complete mechanical inspection before signing off on it.

Pretty happy to have the truck back, I always liked it and it has been pretty reliable.
