Fresh tracks in Keg Springs - Island Park

No, sorry. But here's a pic of the West Yellowstone Airstrip from the South, taken from directly over Mosquito Cutoff on the Two Top Loop, and a nice overhead view of the Madison River. Black Canyon Loop underneath and behind with snow covering the trails and boonies. Not much depth on the loop trails, estimating about 3-4 feet deep up on the peaks. Couldn't get Revpilot to dip a wing into the drifts on Jefferson to measure depth. He got scared he wouldn't be around to watch his kids open Christmas presents..... caught him in a moment he showed a lack of committment to our effort.

we've been riding the last two weekends in Island park......blacks canyon and two-top....not a lot of snow, but enough to satisfy my addiction till it starts dumping

I can't plan ahead to when I get to pinch a grumpy, let alone pencil in a ride in Feb, but in the broad view - the answer would be YES, would like to ride with people I haven't met before, and get to know folks. Keep in touch and if I can hook up, I'd be glad to ride with you.

Vegas, eh? Well, somebody had to go, it might as well have been you! Hope it was a good trip and you came back in one piece. Can't wait to push pow too. Spring Creek is getting filled up to be sure, as Alaska Basin was shining pretty bright white when we flew out last week.

I beleive you are correct. I don't know about culvert tracks, but there may have been some covert ops going on, and we may never know who it was testing conditions this "early". Methinks, for the purposes of this thread, that those tracks must have been leftover from last season or something. Yeah, that must be it, "your honor." Last year's tracks - I swear it....

I sneak down and ride that area several times a year. I have a friend with a cabin on Bills Island. Anyway, I am heading down this weekend and could ride Saturday, but I understood this area to be closed until after Thanksgiving. Am I miss informed??? or are those culvert operation tracks???

Roger that - it'd be great to ride with you over here! I'll see what kind of ratings Revpilot has, and if he can swing a hurl in a C5A Galaxy so we can get all the sleds and gear from Oregon over to Island Park. You okay with combat drops out the back with your motor running and facing forward, WOT?

hey dave, you guys should fly on over this way for a weekend, or better yet come pic me up and take me to your neck of the woods!!! i'll be the guy with the team ruptured buzzard Tshirt on. the sandman in IP, that would be a dream come true totally jealous of you guys getting to fly around, am planning on getting my pilots license someday. just need a little more free time. until then i'll be flying with you guys in spirit...
